Leura Park Estate has reinforced its status as a Geelong region sparkling wine powerhouse by taking out a coveted Gold medal at the recent French-Australian Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Le Concours des Vins du Victoria awards for its Vintage Grande Cuveee Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay.

The award follows the same wine being ranked as the top sparkling at the recent Geelong Wine Show, as well as taking out bronze medals at both the Boutique Wine Show of Australia and Winewise Small Vignerons 2011 Awards...

France is the home of champagne - so to have French experts deem our sparkling worthy of a gold medal is particularly special.  Visit us in Cellar Door to see for yourself why this sparkling pink liquid gold is winning awards...  You'll be back for more we promise!

Join us next February, as we once again transform the Leura Park Vineyard into the magical world of Shakespeare, with Essential Theatre's production of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.

On FRIDAY 10TH & SATURDAY 11TH FEBRUARY 2012, we will be delighting guests with two enchanted evenings of this entertaining production. 

Shows commence at 7pm both evenings, with gates open from 5pm.  Tickets are $40 Show Only or $65 Show & Hamper, and are only available through GPAC.

We're nearing the end of the year, and what a big year it has been - topped off by winning some big awards at the recent French-Australian Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Le Concours des Vins du Victoria awards, held in Melbourne during November.

Not only did our Grande Cuvee Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay win GOLD, but our unreleased 2011 VOIX de la Terre took out BEST SAUVIGNON BLANC IN SHOW!

Combined with the BRONZE Medal our unreleased 2010 Block 1 Chardonnay received - Leura Park Estate has reinforced its status as a Geelong region wine power house.

Exciting news for Geelong and The Bellarine.  Just landed is a new range of naturally brewed ciders, courtesy of the Flying Brick Cider Co, a new concept and enterprise for The Bellarine.

Brewed onsite at local winery, Leura Park Estate, the Flying Brick range comprises three ciders– Original, Draught and Pear.

Director of Leura Park Estate, Lyndsay Sharp said all the ciders were naturally brewed using traditional methods and made from 100% fresh fruit with no added sugars and no colourings.

Thanks to everyone who rocked up to Leura Park Estate and made our weekend a smash hit!  Not only did you enjoy tastings from 7 wineries and new ciders from Flying Brick Cider Co, the food, the music, the whole atmosphere was all simply Fab!

We extended our family here at Leura Park, and Maisy has certainly made herself known around the vineyard!  Here she was as the gorgeous little girl when she first arrived earlier this year, and now here she is, hanging with Bento in the winery...

Bronze for our Grande Vintage Blanc de Blanc2010 at the recent Australian Sparkling Wine Show 2011 - the only 'dedicated' competition available to producers of sparkling wines in Australia.  This follows on from its bronze medal it received earlier in the year at the 2011 International Cool Climate Wine Show agree.

We’re delighted to announce that Leura Park Estate has become the official wine sponsor of GPAC (Geelong Performing Arts Centre).  Opened in 1961, GPAC is a Geelong institution providing a multitude of performances and events as well as the opportunity for participation in performing arts.  It was built on the enthusiasm and commitment of the Greater Geelong Community with a need for a high quality facility for the benefit of our artists and audiences.  There’s always something wonderful happening at GPAC and we’re proud to become involved.

Harvest is over... The pickers have picked and the winemakers are making some exciting 2011 vintage wines.  With the late, slow ripening season, we will see some intense flavours and powerful aromatics shining through.  We can't wait for you to taste our 2011 vintage - it's going to be brilliant.

But it never stops at Leura Park... now it's time for the Autumn vineyard cleanup in preparation for creating a superb 2012 vintage.

Well, we knew we had something special at Leura Park, but it was such a 'pat on the back' to know our wonderful patrons thought the same thing! 

Leura Park Estate has been announced the winner of the 2010/2011 Geelong, Surf Coast and Ballarat Entertainment  Book's Contemporary Dining section.

2010 was the first time Leura Park had participated in the Entertainment Book and we are very pleased we did.  We feel truly honoured that customers made the effort to go online and vote for us.  It's seriously gratifying to see that our Cellar Door experience is on the right track.  So to everyone who voted for us... a big, big, THANK YOU! 

A little rain couldn't dampen that great Celtic spirit!  It's such a wonderful event and we enjoyed it so much last year, that we just had to get involved again this year!!  Not just a little bit but as a Community Partner!!  With a host of sensational artists coming in from all over the world and Oz, the 2011 Celtic Festival was better than ever!  How great was the entertainment, music and atmosphere?  Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did! 

Each year, Leura Park Estate supports the Vietnam Vision Project in their efforts to get a team of volunteer medical experts to Vietnam, by donating wine for their fund raising dinners.

Leura Park SPARKLES at Federation Square Victorian Wineries 2011 Showcase Series (Geelong & Henty).

Leura Park Estate completed the installation of the state-of-the-art new winery on site at the Bellarine Peninsula vineyard earlier this year.  The winery was activated for the first time with the first harvest of grapes for it's 2010 Vintage.
